The Gold Coast is really the region with the mega theme parks, but there are some great parks right in the Sunshine Coast that are a bit more educational and artsy and can make for great fun. These are the type of parks that can keep you entertained all day long, without the super-sized rides that some love, but others hate.

Here are some of the Sunshine Coast parks, that will be worth visiting while on your holiday.

Castle at Bli Bli allows you to partake in all its ancient medieval dwelling, equipped with its very own torture chamber, medieval armor and dancing dolls from all different regions of the world. Come and explore the dungeon and check out the ancient displays of fairy stories loaded with artifacts. Be sure to make your way up into the towers of this amazing structure, for some of the most incredible views of the countryside and the cane fields below. A day chocked full of fun, activities and history, the Sunshine Castle at Bli Bli is a true adventure.

Aussie World is an incredible free park is a popular tourist attraction and home to some of the best dining and shopping Aussie style. There is even a neat Pub based on a comic book that is filled with lots of abstract goodies that makes it well worth a look around, it is the Ettamogah Pub. Fun for the whole family be sure to check out Aussie World on your next trip to the Outback.

If you are interested in underwater life, Underwater World Mooloolaba is the place to visit. This is an interactive underwater adventure where guest travel through underwater glass tunnels and observe some of the greatest water creatures of all times. You have the chance to see animals such as crocodiles, sharks, stingrays, whales, migratory whales and more, all in their natural habitat. This is the best way to get underwater with these animals without having to spend large amounts of money on scuba diving or snorkeling.
