By Darren Bradley

Big Bear Valley is an amazing area to visit whether you're from out of state or just a few hours away. Your mountain vacation awaits with beautiful scenery and outdoor activities for everyone.

From family vacations to romantic retreats, Big Bear offers a plethora of cabin rentals from which to choose. Should you prefer more privacy and relaxation, there are mountain side cabins that offer more roaming area and are set farther away from the activity that can be found near the village and the lake.

If lakeview is more your style, you can find several cabins to choose from. There are also themed cabins and cabins found right near the excitement in the village. Walk to many village stores and rental shops for your ski or bike gear or to the local restaurants.

Choosing a cabin rental in Big Bear is a great way to enjoy nature and the comforts of a home away from home. If you can get back to the aforementioned day dream and past the preconceived ideas of a mountain adventure, you might just find that there is peace and joy to be found among the trees and trails of Big Bear.

The cabin rentals in Big Bear are numerous and can be rented either lakeside or in the village. There are also cabins available mountain side, giving you a more relaxed retreat farther away from the activity of the lake and village.

Cabin rentals in Big Bear are wonderful for both families and couples. With room enough for all, kitchens and privacy that isn't necessarily found in other types of lodging, a cabin rental in Big Bear can offer a rustic version of home away from home. Big Bear offers a good deal of choices with various price ranges to meet your needs.

If summer at Big Bear isn't necessarily your kind of vacation, how about the winter wonderland that is created with the first snowfall as winter sets in. Snow skiing and snowboarding for downhill adventurers as well as snowshoeing and alpine skiing for those who prefer a slower pace and the challenge of backwoods trails. There is even an Alpine slide that offers an authentic bobsledding experience.

Rent a bike or boat during the summer or read a book curled up in a chair on the front porch of your cabin. If you've chosen a winter holiday, there's the downhill runs or Alpine Slide or perhaps you prefer hot chocolate or wine and the jacuzzi tub or fireplace. There's plenty to do at Big Bear and there's nothing to do, you choose.
